Nathan grew up as an MK in Guatemala, and Emily, a farm girl in Saskatchewan.

“We met while working at Rock Solid Refuge,” they explain, “a ministry to teenage boys struggling with life-controlling issues.

“Both of us felt called to missions but, in particular, our hearts were stirred to be a part of taking the Gospel to people who have not had the opportunity to hear it in their language.

“Nathan was excited to be able to combine a love for flying with a desire to serve in missions. The process of preparation was a long one … 14 years! This included Bible school, acquiring an aircraft maintenance license, a commercial pilot’s license (fixed wing and helicopter), and the necessary hours to apply to the mission.

“We are serving in the Asia-Pacific region. We are continuing our language study, and then starting a new helicopter flight program to support the new and continuing church planting works in that region.”
